François Roukoz is the Founder and CEO of ProofOfID, a patent-pending AI-powered digital identity platform that delivers a decentralized, secure, privacy-first, and user-controlled identity verification. A seasoned cybersecurity and infrastructure executive, François blends deep technical expertise with a strategic, mission-driven focus on advancing digital trust.
Before founding ProofOfID, François also founded BitsProof, a cybersecurity company focused on data protection, integrity and regulatory requirements. He previously held senior leadership roles at Tucows, VP of Infrastructure & Information Security, and at Concentra & Equitable Bank, VP and Executive Partner for Infrastructure & Cloud Services, where he led large-scale cloud transformations, cybersecurity programs, and the modernization of mission-critical platforms across regulated environments.
As CEO, François is focused on redefining digital identity as a consumer-controlled asset, enabling individuals to consent to how their identity data is used and shared while helping enterprises reduce fraud, streamline onboarding, reduce cost and meet regulatory requirements. His strategy emphasizes interoperability, ecosystem partnerships, and scalable deployment across financial, government, and telecom sectors, positioning ProofOfID as a new trust layer for the digital economy.
